Free Odds Basic Strategy

The free odds bets are continuation bets that you can make on come/don't come and pass/don't pass bets. These bets are the best possible bets available in the casino and are paid at true odds. Hence the player car reduce the casino edge by taking full odds on their come/don't come and pass/don't pass bets. The amount by which the player can reduce the casino edge depends on the allowed multiple on the free odds. But even with conservative triple odds on the pass line, the casino edge can be reduce to 0.471%.

Martingale system

There is no wagering system that can beat casino games of pure chance such as craps, but that does not stop players to believe in them. The most popular system is the Martingale System, in which the player starts betting with a given amount, for example 2$, and after each loss he doubles it. If the player wins he starts over with the initial amount. The idea of this strategy is to realize a net win equal to the initial amount after every win. But there is a serious flaw in the Martingale system, which is that the player will run out of money after doubling his bet for several times in a row or he will not be able to bet the amount dictated by the system, because the bet will exceed the maximum allowed bet by the casino. The Martingale system also yields a profit equal to the initial bet amount every time the player wins and if the initial amount is small, the payout will be just as small.

Gambler's fallacy

Other strategies depend on the gamble's fallacy, which in craps terms is the belief that past dice rolls influence the probabilities of future dice rolls. For example a player who is betting according to this strategy will bet on 9 if this number has not appeared or has appeared too often in the last 10 or 20 rolls.

In reality, every roll of dice is an independent event, so the probability of rolling an 9 is 1/18 on every roll, even if 9 was rolled out in the last 10 throws or have not be rolled out in the last 20. There is common term which is used to describe this - "dice have no memory"

The Iron Cross

This strategy is a bet pattern which allows the player to win on every roll that is not a seven. The Iron Cross is made by a field bet and place bets on the 5, 6 and 8. This strategy will not create a mathematical advantage for the player.

Dice Setting or dice control

This is a strategy in witch the player is trying to "set" the dice in particular orientation, and then throw them in such manner that they do not tumble randomly, with this act theoretically, the dice will be more likely to show certain numbers. Unlike other strategies, this one is more mathematically plausible, because if it were possible to alter the possibilities of each outcome, then the winning strategies could be devised.

But in order to prevent the dice controls the casinos require the player to hit the back wall of...
