possible columns. Any of these bets doesn't include 0 or 00
1 to 18, or 19 to 36: The player may bet on a number which is between 1 and 18 or 19 and 36. The chip must be placed on the table where the signs "1 to 18" or "19 to 36" are. Neither of these bets includes 0 or 00
Odd or Even: Also, a bet for odd or even number may be made. The chip must be placed in "Odd" or "Even" section on the table. This bet doesn't include 0 or 00.
Color (Red or Black): The player may bet on the color of the winning number. To do that he must place his chip on the "Red" or "Black" labeled sections on the table. Again this bet doesn't include 0 or 00.
After you know something about the possible bets, here are some roulette strategies
D'Alembert System: this strategy is somewhat similar to the "Martingale system"(scroll down to see), but it has something which makes it superior - when the number on wins equals the number of losses, the net gain is equal to the number of wins. The strategy is also very simple - when the player losses a game he adds one unit to the next bet and when he wins he deducts one unit from the next bet, for example the player makes a bet of 20 and he wins, his next bet should be 19, if he win again then the next bet will be 18, but if he losses then his next bet should be 20.
Martingale System: this is progression betting strategy and its very popular and easy to use - the player begins his game with a bet of 5$, if he wins the next bet remains the same, but if he lose, then the next bet will be double i.e. 10$, if he losses again - 20$, again - 40$ and so on. The point is when the player win, he will recover all of his losses and have a profit equal to the original stake. This strategy is not optimal and we do not advise you to use it, better use the D'Alembert System.
1st and 3rd column strategy: when using this strategy the player places 2 chips on the 1st column, 2 chips on the 3rd column (these bets cover most of the red numbers of the table, except for 5, 14, 23, 32) and 2 chips on the black (this will cover all of the blacks in middle column). After these bets the player may lose all his chips only when the number is 5, 14, 23, 32, 0 or 00 i.e. 6 chips. If the winning number is a red from the 1st or the 3rd column then the player is even, if the result is black from the middle column the player loses 2 chips and if the number is black in 1st or 3rd column the player wins 4 chips.
